Parking Tickets

A two hour parking limit is enforced in the Central Business District of St. Marys as defined below. This limitation is in effect Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Violators of parking regulations shall pay a fee in accordance with the following schedule:

  • $1.00 on the first and second offense committed within a calendar year;
  • $5.00 for the third offense committed within a calendar year; and
  • $10.00 for the fourth and any subsequent offense committed within a calendar year.

Payment of fees can be made at the Police Department or at the Municipal Building at 101 E. Spring Street. If payment is not made within 24 hours from the date of the issuance of the violation notice, an additional fee of $5.00 shall be imposed. If payment is not made within 10 days, the owner or operator may be issued a citation to appear in court.

The Central Business District parking area is as follows:

  • Spring Street from its intersection with Wayne Street to its intersection with Pine Street;
  • Main Street from its intersection with South Street to a point 200 feet north of the centerline of Spring Street;
  • Front Street from its intersection with High Street to its intersection with South Street;
  • Chestnut Street from its intersection with High Street to a point 235 feet south of the centerline of Spring Street.
