On Wednesday, April 8th from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. at McDonalds and again on Saturday, April 18th from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. at Krogers, the Police Department is hosting Coffee with Cops events. This event is designed to bring police officers and the community closer together. There will be no speeches or agendas, just conversation over a cup of coffee. Several officers from St. Marys Police Department will be on hand to speak with community members, answer their questions and let them voice their concerns. This is a small town and your police officers are literally your neighbors. So, please come and get to know your neighbors.
We are very excited about this event and encourage people to stop by and say hello. We want to thank both McDonald’s and Kroger for allowing us to host this event at their businesses.
The Coffee with Cops event on April 8th at McDonalds was a great success. I would like to thank McDonalds for their support of this event. Also, I would like to thank the officers who helped this morning which include Sgt. Chris Green, Ptl. Josh Boos, Dispatcher Emily Knapke, Dog Warden Russ Bailey and Game Warden Mark Schemmell. Both the coffee and the conversation were very good.
Please come see us at our next event on April 18th from 8 a.m. till 10 a.m. at the Starbucks Kiosk in the Kroger supermarket.
