He presents education programs on trees, parks, and landscaping topics; coordinates the memorial tree program; and is available to answer questions regarding trees and parks. The City's Tree Trimmer and Tree Trimmer Helper report to the Supervisor of Parks and Urban Forestry. In addition, several seasonal employees are hired each year to assist with upkeep of the parks and also work at the miniature golf course.
The use of parks' facilities for all programs such as youth baseball, softball, Legion baseball, Acme baseball, tennis, volleyball, and youth soccer, are scheduled by City personnel. To schedule use of K.C. Geiger Park, Larkin Park, or Kuck's Cove for such programs call 419-300-1242. The Parks and Athletic Facility Use Agreement must be completed and on file with the City, and each participant is required to complete the Participant Waiver of Responsibility Form.
